CONTROLLED REGENERATION OF THE BONES

It often happens that we need to place an implantation in a place for the reasons of functionality or aesthetics, but the bone there is too weak or there is too little of it to perform the operation. For this reason we need to stimulate this bone to grow through the application of proper formulas:

Controlled regeneration of the bone is a long process and it takes about 6 months.
The healing of implantations takes also about 6 months.
Sometimes it is possible to perform both operations at the same time, or the patient has to wait for the final effect more than one year.
In controlled regeneration of bones can be applied biological formulas (from cows, pigs or humans) or synthetic.
In Prima-Dent surgeries we use only synthetic materials or, possibly, patient's own tissues.

Atrophy of patient's own bone usually takes place after extraction in the place, where the tooth was extracted. Atrophy may be also caused by systemic diseases, hormonal troubles, incorrect prosthetic completion and genetic factors. Bone atrophy is a process taking many years, and thanks to modern stomatological technology and knowledge we are able today to rebuild the bone in the place where we need space to fix the implantation, which has to be fixed entirely
in the bone.
