OSPROGEL

OSPROGEL is a bio-compatible, osseo-inductive material substituting the bone used in bone tissue surgery as a substitute for autogenous bone transplant.

Material characteristics and contents: OSPROGEL is packed in a double, hermetically closed leaf in the form of shaped elements. Contents: HAK -porous ceramic granules of hydroxy apatite 70 %; purified gelatine FU (obtained from safe beef tissues) 15%; purified glycerol 14%; doubly purified water AF 1%.

  • Indications: Jaw-facial surgery, all interventions where large quantities of bone tissue are needed, for implantation, osteoplasty in cleft palate and nose surgery, skeletal asymmetries, ear and lower jaw syndromes, tumours, wounds.
  • Dental surgery: filling cysts, plastic operation of alveolar process walls and mouth-sinuses connections, shaping and filling of appendage after extractions, if there is no infection, after curettage, filling holes after resection.
  • Surgery in parodontopathy: filling bone pockets with complex wall defects, wedging double and triple roots with shaped, elastic triangles, excellent prognosis of results in surgical treatment of deep pockets; Osprogel does not allow the proliferation of epithelium tissue.
  • Implantology: used as an insulator of the implantation from the epithelium, ideal when , the amount of the bone is not sufficient and when the appearance of the process is not satisfactory, for augmentation of the process and specialist lower jaw surgery.
  • Orthopaedics: as an optimal cementing material, fostering the growth of bone tissue.
  • Neuro-surgery: surgical osteoplasty in the skull, cranioplasty with flap shaping
